Customer experience survey helps you understand their satisfaction levels, identify areas for improvement, and ensure a seamless shopping experience. Use the following questions to collect feedback on key aspects of your online store, from ease of purchase to overall customer loyalty.

Survey questions:

  • How likely are you to recommend us to a friend?
    • Question type: Number scale
    • Purpose: This question measures customer satisfaction and loyalty by asking how likely customers are to recommend your store to others. It provides insight into overall customer experience and helps identify promoters and detractors.
  • How easy was it to purchase from our online store?
    • Question type: Number scale
    • Purpose: This question evaluates the user-friendliness of the purchasing process. By understanding how easy or difficult customers find the checkout experience, you can identify areas for improvement in navigation, payment options, or product selection.
  • How could we improve? Please let us know anything we could have done to make the experience better.
    • Question type: Short answer
    • Purpose: This open-ended question invites customers to provide specific feedback and suggestions for improvement. It allows you to gather qualitative insights into potential pain points and opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience.

Reason for to purchasing survey

The Reason for Purchasing survey helps you understand the obstacles customers face when deciding whether to complete a purchase. By identifying common barriers, you can take targeted actions to improve your shopping experience and increase conversion rates. Use the following questions to gather valuable insights into the factors affecting customer decisions, from pricing to shipping concerns.

Survey Questions:

  1. What is preventing you from completing your purchase today?
    • Question type: Single choice
    • Purpose: This question identifies specific obstacles customers encounter, such as pricing, product information, shipping issues, or return policy concerns. Understanding these barriers enables you to address them and encourage more purchases in the future.
  2. How could we improve the shopping experience?
    • Question type: Short answer
    • Purpose: This open-ended question allows customers to provide specific feedback or suggestions for improving the shopping experience. It helps you gather actionable insights for enhancing your store’s functionality and addressing customer pain points.

Survey form

The Survey form template is a popup that combines a survey question, email capture, and an optional discount offer in one form. You can control when and where it appears using trigger, frequency, and targeting settings.

To create a popup form, click Create new survey, select the Survey form card, and click Create. This opens the popup form editor with three panels: content settings on the left, a live preview in the center, and display settings on the right.

Left panel:

  • Template: Choose from Split classic, Full width banner, Compact card, or Slide-in. Some templates require a Growth+ plan.
  • Promotional image: Toggle Enable image to upload a JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP image (max 5 MB).
  • Survey question: Enter your question and answer options. You can drag to reorder options and toggle Shuffle answer order.
  • Email capture: Toggle Enable email capture. Optionally toggle Email required. Available on Growth plan and above.
  • Discount configuration: Toggle Enable discount and choose a type:
    • Fixed discount: Reveals a specific code after the customer submits
    • Mystery discount: Shows an animated reveal of a random discount value. Requires Growth+ plan.

Right panel:

  • Trigger settings: Choose when the popup appears: Page load delay, Exit intent, or Scroll depth. You can enable multiple triggers.
  • Frequency cap: Choose Once per visitor, Once per session, or Once per day.
  • Page targeting: Show on all pages, specific page types, or specific URL paths.
  • User targeting: Show to all users or specific customer segments.
  • Popup text: Set the Heading text, Subheading text, and Submit button text.
  • Thank you text: Set the Heading, Description, Button text, and Closing text. Use {seconds} as a placeholder for a countdown timer.

When done, click Save, then toggle the status to Active in the toolbar.

By utilizing these survey templates, you can quickly gather meaningful feedback that will guide your decision-making and help optimize your business strategy. Customize each template to fit your goals and start gaining valuable insights today.
