Set up automated analytics reports in Sea Survey to receive regular insights from your customer surveys. Get analytics summaries delivered directly to your email on your preferred schedule.

What's New: Automated Analytics Reports

We've added the ability to receive automated reports from your survey analytics. Instead of manually checking your dashboard, you can now get regular email updates with key metrics, response summaries, and insights delivered directly to your inbox.

This update helps you stay on top of customer feedback without constantly monitoring your surveys, making it easier to track trends and respond quickly to important insights.

How Analytics Reports Work

When you set up a report, Sea Survey will automatically send you an email summary of your survey analytics based on your chosen schedule. Reports include key metrics like total responses, completion rates, and answer breakdowns.

When to Set Up Reports

First-time setup When you first visit the Analytics screen for a survey, you'll see a prompt to set up your report preferences. You can configure your report settings immediately or skip and set them up later.

Ongoing access You can update your report settings anytime from the Analytics screen by clicking the Open Basic analytics button.

How to Set Up Analytics Reports

Step 1: Access Report Settings

Option 1: First-time setup (Automatic prompt)

  1. Go to Analytics from the taskbar

  2. The report setup prompt appears automatically on your first visit

  3. Click Set Up Report to configure preferences Or click Skip for Now to set up later

Option 2: Set up anytime

  1. Go to Analytics from the taskbar

  2. Click the Manage Report button on the top-right corner.

  3. Configure your preferences

Step 2: Choose Report Frequency

Select how often you want to receive reports:

  • Daily: Get updates every day (best for active surveys)

  • Weekly: Receive reports once a week (recommended for most surveys)

  • Monthly: Get monthly summaries (best for long-term tracking)

  • Custom: Set your own schedule based on specific dates or intervals

Step 3: Choose Date Range

Select the time period for your report data from the Date dropdown:

  • Yesterday: Data from yesterday only

  • Last 7 days: Past week of data

  • Last 30 days: Past month of data (default)

  • Last 90 days: Past quarter of data

  • Last 6 months: Six months of historical data

  • Last 9 months: Nine months of historical data

  • Last 12 months: Full year of data

Step 4: Add Email Recipients

  1. Enter email addresses for report recipients

  2. Choose an email schedule using Every X Day(s)

Step 5: Configure Delivery Time

Set your preferred delivery time:

  • Choose morning, afternoon, or evening delivery

  • Select timezone for accurate scheduling

Step 6: Save Settings

Click Save to activate your automated reports. You'll receive your first report based on the schedule you selected.

Managing Your Reports

Edit Report Settings

To change your report preferences:

  1. Go to Analytics for your survey

  2. Click Manage Report

  3. Update any settings (frequency, recipients,...)

  4. Click Save to apply changes

Pause or Stop Reports

To temporarily stop receiving reports:

  1. Open Report settings

  2. Toggle the Enable Reports switch to off

  3. Your settings will be saved for when you want to resume

To permanently delete report settings:

  1. Open Report settings

  2. Click Remove Schedule Report
